...or perhaps a Hammer & Sickle?

I would guess both. It is clear that he has no respect for the U.S. flag and does not understand what it stands for. It's hard to believe that he would admit to it in public and but he is appealing to a certain type of person (the Hollywood elite and other Leftists who hate everything about the U.S., except for the idiots that go to their movies and watch their TV programs and if you don't believe me, just look at who is bankrolling his campaign). Fortunately Hillary is enough of a practitioner of Realpolitik that she will not pick someone like this as a running mate (she will pick someone who will at least pretend to love this country and what it stands for, this is why I think the Hollywood crowd dumped her in favor of him).

By the way, I prefer to refer to him as B.O. (based on what his wife and kids say about him) but thanks for using another acceptable version of his real name.

No, they just seem to be the only ones so morbid as to commemorate the spot of death. There was a good column about this in the faith section of the newspaper here a while back pointing out that there is no reason in any religion to do this. It also pointed out the danger these roadside shrines can cause, as they may distract drivers in places that are already hazardous.

The reports on the news say that he has stopped wearing the flag lapel pin because it seemed to have become an overused symbol of patriotism. There is nothing direspectful or anti-flag in the act.

He probably has a crescent moon and a prayer rug in his closet where he goes to pray to his pagan arab moon god allah.

No, he'd prefer to express his patriotism by sitting in front of just one large flag in the oval office.

No. Well, Mr. Dead, if this is the best question you have about Politics, I think I will go back to reading Che's Bolivian diary and the Koran. I'll certainly learn more by doing so.

Thanks to all those simpletons who gave me their thumbs down and who see the world only in black & white.

There has got to be a clandestine agent from Hilliary campaign on Obama's staff giving him advise. No one can continually keep shooting himself in the foot like this.
