"Lizzy" and "Eliza" are just nicknames for Elizabeth. Surely you've met someone named Elizabeth who went by "Liz"?
The Bennets live in a small town in Hertfordshire, England. Elizabeth's best friend is Charlotte Lucas, who lives in the same area.
The Bennet family consists of the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Bennet, and five daughters. Elizabeth is the second oldest. Her older sister, Jane, is the sister she's closest to. Their younger sisters are, in order, Mary, Catherine (nicknamed "Kitty"), and Lydia.
The fact that the Bennet family has only daughters is important to the plot, because the Bennet family estate is entailed on a male heir. This was a fairly common legal arrangement in that time. It means that the Bennet girls will not be able to inherit their father's house and land. (There's nothing Mr. Bennet can do about this, it's something his ancestors set up.) The estate will pass to a male cousin when Mr. Bennet dies. This situation is why Mrs. Bennet is so obsessed with her daughters marrying well.

Elizabeth goes by Lizzy and Eliza. The family lives in Meryton at a place called Longbourn. Elizabeth's best friend is Charlotte Lucas who lives nearby at Lucas Lodge; she lives with Lady Lucas and Sir William Lucas.
Hope that was enough...but if you're on page twenty, you should have caught on to some of this.
