Poltergiest is supposed to be psychic residue given off by a person's hormones and mental energy which can make physical objects move, not telepathy but maybe a light will ust flicker on by its self or a jar will fall of the counter without anyone touching it.
I was told adolescents tend to create a poltergiest affect most often because of the amount of neurons they are producing.
Of course this is just a thought and there is no scientific evidence proving any of this.
