contact ant machine shop and you will find they recommend you bore 30 ths. 60ths. is the max for a daily driver but on late model 1980 and up this may even be too much,if you can not bore 30 over ask the machine shop about 40 over but I would not recommend 60 ths. unless you can not afford to sleeve the engine and go back standard. The more cubic inches your motor has the more torque it will be able to produce and this is what I think you are after, because torque wins the race not horsepower.

If the engine needs a rebore, it should be sleeved.
Boring for more power always leads to overheating troubles while pulling.
Power today runs to engine speed not brute horsepower.
Balancing an engine will deliver better performance, and a safer high end.

.06 over would be the max.
You dont want to get the cylinder walls too thin cause it would run too hot

depends on what your using it for. .60 over is common. if it's any kind of "endurance" load, i wouldn't recommend you go over that.
