are they illegal in Milton VT? b.c i want one so i can get to my friends house down the road quicker. but will the po-pos take it from me? my neighbor hood doesnt have any rules against it but i just want to know

It should be OK. It's just a skateboard with an electric motor on it.
It's no different in the eyes of the law, as an electric motorcycle for 3 year olds that you buy in Toys-R-Us.
I've seen gas powered razors riding in NY city and the cops just watch them go by.
Razors aren't considered motorcycles, scooters, or even mopeds.
If there is a helmet law for bicyclists in your area, it would be a good idea to wear a bicycle helmet.
This way a police officer will take into account that you're following the rules of the road, just as a bicyclist has to (and they can get ticketed).
Call up your local police station and ask.

ride it on the street if u want, just understand that the fuzz will impound it if they see u on the street. unless its a 50cc or above, scooters are illegal on the street. did this register? minumum engine size for a legal scooter is 50cc's. and u have to have a mc license for it.
get a regular 10 speed bike.....then the cops wont mess with u.

yes, i can almost garuntee you they are technicaly illegal.
they are not road legal because, they dont have turn signals, horn, lights, ect., and, they arent registered.
but, they are still motorized, so they are not legal to ride on the sidewalk.
if you are in a small town, i wouldnt do it, if you are in a city or suburb, i dont think the police will care
