We already are exploring the sun by the use of telescopes and satellites. If by "explore" you mean to have a man land on the surface of the sun; there's no way that will ever happen. A person would die from being within 100,000,000 miles of a pinhead size drop of the matter within the sun's core.

Do you mean as in travel to it? Then, no. It is completely uninhabitable. Anyone traveling towards it for very long would disintegrate. If we can get a severe sunburn from something that is 91 millions miles away from us, exploration is out of the question.

What's to explore?
Scientists already claim to know all about it, how big it is, what all the layers consist of, what the denisity is, how it works, what the atmosphere is like, what sun spots, are, how it affects the earth and solar system in general.
So ... probably.
It sounds like another great waste of taxpayers' money to me!

No, because the sun would have to burn out first and if the sun burns out, life will cease to exist.

Not in person, but we may yet find a way to do it remotely more closely than we can today.
