Moses, of course, carrying the staff and the Ten Commandments. How do you think that will go over? He goes to a public school.

He's 7:) Dressing up in Middle School is tacky, but they did in one school I taught in. (And quite a few of the boys dressed up as girls!!)

Why not? I see kids dressed as policemen and firemen, who are their hero's. Who's to say Moses couln't be your kids hero?

well it depends on how old he is.
if he is in middle school, this could cause some controversy and people to make fun of him
if he's in elementary, then this should be perfectly fine, and he can maybe have a show and tell session, talking about moses and why he has the 10 commandments

Moses is a historic and cultural figure. Personally, I don't see a problem. Kids go as angels, faries, devils. But ask your kids teacher first just be make sure there isn't any friction.

Thats a very good idea. If they are big on no religion in school I wouldnt recommend dressing him as moses. It will be very popular because other religions think halooween is bad so thats good.

It's not likely any of the other kids will know who he is supposed to be. He probably won't win best costume. How does he feel about it? Who does he want to dress up as?

It probably won't be the most popular costume. Kids go more for the draculas, witches, and such. I doubt most of them have heard of the Moses myth.

If your school allows them to dress up, then I don't see why not. Ours do not allow costumes.
