Hi, I just bought the components to build a new PC. My MB is a K9N Neo running a AMD X2 6000. When i run the system BIOs, it could detech my WD 250 GB in the BIOS, but when i put the Windows Xp in to install, it could only read 130GB. Now worst still, i accidentally partition it to 80GB for C drive and the other 50GB for the other drive. How can i unpartitioned it? And how can i make the system read 250GB? At the moment i am formatting both drive. Can anyone help?

Thank You

Ok you need an XP cd with service pack 2 already on it. Then when you get to windows XP setup delete all the partitions and put them where you want them to be. I recommend about 80gb for C. And the rest on how you want it. This way in case you need to reformat you can be assured because the other partitions will not be touched with your Data on D:\ drive or E:\ or however you have it setup when reinstalling windows if you know what your doing.

Your XP CD is most likely the original, you will need an XP CD with Service Pack1 or 2 to recongnize the whole drive during installation .
