After all, he is laughing all the way to the bank with his guaranteed contract.

Besides, the Yankees suck - Let's go Indians.

He will forever be known as a great regular season plyer that couldn't get it done in the playoffs. That will be tough for him to listen to when his career is done. So, yes, he should care a lot.

The Yankees always open their checkbook to the best players in baseball and overpay. Its a bit Whiney for them to complain about him now. He got them in the playoffs. A-Rod turning into D-Wad in October suprised nobody. Not even him.

He can care less the Yankees don't care either only the fans. A-Rod will be a Yankee next year he get paid for the regular season not the playoffs.

Yes, all good players care how they perform. I think it does bother him. However, he is not the only player struggling in this post-season for the yanks. I don't think he will be back next year regardless of the outcome of this years playoffs.

He's like Reggie Jackson and does not give a rat's a** about what ole Steiny is saying in his penthouse. "He's gots da bread, and you ain't gonna take it away"---he owns the MVP award anyway-good for over 20 mil a year on a lot of teams.ps...(ask his wife about the T-shirt she wore to a game this year)

Yes he does. He has the money-now he wants the ring. Instaead of looking at how bad he has performed-maybe we should look at how damn good the Indians pitching is. he's not the only one looking bad-Jeter "Captain Clutch' can't muster a thing either.

The only way he makes MORE money is if he performs well in the playoffs.

I am only sad he wasn't at home these last two games, so the NY fans would show him how loyal they really are by booing his choking butt! Oh, but I am sure he will have some 0-fers for them to boo Sunday.

If the team were winning, Alex would cheerfully take and 0-fer-the series. But they're not winning, and he is undoubtedly bothered because he's not doing his job (not that anyone else is, either).
