Republicans are supposed to be for the free market system, little government regulation, and a smaller federal government. Basically, staunch Republicans believe in every man for himself and that churches and private organizations should help the poor. If you read The Jungle by Upton Sinclair and you watch the movie Tucker, you'll see that sometimes government regulation is needed. Certain things like SSI (disability checks) are needed because I doubt that a charity will be able to help you pay your bills every month for the rest of your life. One flawed theory is the trickle down effect; if you give tax breaks to the rich, everyone below will benefit. The trickle down effect just made poor people poorer during the Reagan administration and the use of crack and gang activity increased afterwards. I do agree with the Republicans on too many people living off of government social programs because I'm being taxed closed to the poverty line. Liberals want to control what's in your pocket and conservatives want to control what goes on in your private life.

First and foremost!!!!!!!...Politicians in general are in the business for themselves!!!..Period! Dems and Republ!
Why would a politician spend millions upon millions for a job that pays $450,000 a year?
Where do these Dems and Republ get the money too run for office? From the huge corporations that will make sure that the next president will support there issues!!!!..Making MONEY!
No! The Majority of Republicans are working class people!
The South is Majority Republican!...and they are not rich!
they just don't want there hard earned money given too those who lay on their ***!

I think Republicans are for whatever is right regardless of whether they are rich or poor. I think Republicans are for hard work.

I think the Republicans are for equal opportunity for everyone in the US.
Think about this: are people Republican because they are rich, or are they rich because they are Republican? If you are a conservative Republican, you have a chance. If you are a liberal Democrat it seems you are dooming yourself to a life of poverty.

YES!!! and they are for YOU becoming rich beyond your wildest dreams!!! democrats want you to work, and noboby gets rich..NOBODY!! if you get rich with democrats, they will take your money in the form of taxation and give it to themselves. which do you prefer? a chance at the golden ring or no hope of ever getting rich...the choice is up to you.

no - you seem to forget that the so-called rich corporations are generally the employers of Americans.
