Purely a hypothetical popularity-viewership question. This is not a prediction so try not to take it as a knock. (I already understand that fans of the two teams would follow such a match up.)

Everyone likes a Cinderella underdog sports story so yes I would watch. Everybody get sick of the same old teams anyway. I wouldn't mind seeing the Rockies, Arizona or Cleveland in the World Series I never heard of some of their players before.

Of course I would. It is the World Series, regardless of who is in it. (Although I fully understand the point that such a match-up would not be "popular" with a lot of people)

Absolutely, but than again I am a baseball fan. If your question would have been, "Do you think interest would drop with a Cleveland-Arizona world series" my answer would be yes.

Since it seems to be the era of teams breaking long championship droughts (Boston, White Sox, Cards), it will probably be Cubs and Indians, although i am doubting the Cubs. Maybe a Rockies Indians series???

If you are a baseball fan, you will watch it or follow it. If you are a team fan, and one of those teams aren't yours, then you aren't a true baseball fan and you won't.

Most people on here, are fans of teams and often aren't aware of 24 or more of the other teams in the major leagues.

That's when homerisms go too far.

If Boston is not in it, and Cleveland is, I will root for Cleveland as they are definitely worthy of winning the World Series...

Not really. I may turn to it while its on for a couple minutes, but unless its a game where one of the teams could clinch, I wouldn't pay too much attention.

Yes,but D-backs are not in it--Rockies rock on with the Tribe-a true heavyweight fight to the end.-Cleveland-K.O. in the fifth round.

ESPN would not follow it. Thats the problem they think a world series without NY or Bos is not worth watching.
