My son is a little over 4 months and since birth I have used a flat positioner to keep him on his back. For a awhile he would flip and sleep on his side which is fine. But know that he has masters how to roll onto his stomach, I always wake up and he is asleep on his stomach. He can easily lift his head now so he should not suffocate.
What I want to know is, should I stop using the positioner since either way he can get onto his stoach now.
Also do anyone elses babies sleep on their stomachs??
Thanks I have been really stessed about this :)

Stop using it--it's just a suffocation hazard at this point. Plus, it's supposed to prevent him from moving in his sleep. Clearly, he can move around it, so get it out of the crib.

I would keep using the positioner otherwise he will roll all over the cot and wake himself up more easily. If used properly (positioned under his arms) then it should still be useful for you. It would also keep his blanket positioned better and less able to get over his head if tucked in correctly.

my kids used to flip onto their tummy occasionally and they are fine obviously but still favour their back now. my best friends little girl always sleeps on her tummy no matter how many times she turns her back onto her back and has done since she was a baby.

just make sure to never use a pillow (until at least age 1) and keep the blankets tucked under the mattress and have him placed at the foot of the cot and he should be fine.

best of luck

My son is 13m now, but when he learned to roll over he started sleeping on his stomach. I would put him in bed on his back or side and he just rolls over. A lot of people prefer to sleep on their belly and your son is probably the same way. He'll be fine. Just remove the positioner and make sure there are no stuffed animals or heavy blankets in the bed w/him. It's best if you put heavier pj on him and use a lghter blanket or invest in a few sleep sacks.

My aunt still uses the sleep positioner for my cousin who is almost 2 years old. But she took the side things off of it so all it is is the padded head thing. If he can roll over I would only use the padded part and not the part that keeps him in place.
