YES!!! OMG I think that we have the same fascination with bubble wrap. I too have been known to buy it just so that I can pop it. Did you know that on bored.com there is a virtual bubble wrap on there that you can pop! It has the big bubbles and also the small ones as well. And by the way, I am 51 and still love to pop it, I think it is so cool! Once in awhile I will even take some over to moms so that we can pop it together, that is IF I have a lot of it, lol, she is 83! Hey what can I say, that is some cool stuff and so much fun to pop!!

I love popping it, but I've never gone so far as to buy any. I'm not a timid, one bubble at a time popper. I take the wrap and wring it like a towel so lots of them pop at the same time. Now THAT"S fun! Once at work we got some packages in with the large bubbles. I folded a large piece, put it o the floor and stepped on it. The popping was so loud several people thought it was gunfire! That's when my co-workers did a bubble wrap intervention with me!(LOL)

I love it! I had a neighbor who would ask that we all save our bubble wrap for her so she could do just that. When my kids were little and we would get bubble wrap in packages, they had a special trick they would do with it. They would lay a piece of it on the floor around the corner to scare us grown ups! When we would come around the corner and step on it, it would make loud popping noises! They would scream and laugh at our reactions and do it over and over. We never let them down and always squealed with shock < wink> and surprise. I still smile every time I see bubble wrap!

OK, so this is weird but my mom actually gives me bubble wrap every year for Christmas. She doesn't go buy it somewhere, but when she gets something throughout the year wrapped with the bubble wrap, she puts it away. She actually wraps it up like a present. Sometimes she puts something in the box to try to trick me into thinking that its something else.
I have always thought it was weird.
Well, until just now.
Thank you for asking this strange question.
♥You helped me realize that when my mom is gone,
it will be the little things like opening a box up to see something wrapped in bubble wrap that keeps me going.♥

Guess I'm not quite as addicted to bubble wrap as you, but . . . I was EXTREMELY disappointed yesterday when I opened my box of books from Amazon and there were 3 big air bags in it instead of bubble wrap. I had really been looking forward to the popping.

LOL!!! Just when you think you've about heard it all!
How funny.
I have to admit that I do love popping the silly things when they come in my packaging. Can't just throw it out . . . gotta pop all of it. But I never considered buying tons of it to pop at night while watching tv! :O))
There must be something occupying about it. Lots of people need to keep their hands busy, sewing, smoking, drinking, etc.
I'm trying to overcome my compulstion to file my nails when my hands are idle watching tv. Must be horribly irritating to my hubby. I just automatically grab the manicure stuff. Ah the things we do absent mindedly.

I hope you professional bubble wrap popping people live alone..without even a dog or cat..because that sound would eventually DRIVE THEM CRAZY !!!! I like to do it too (but in private)..My former boss liked to do it too...I gave him a "gift" of bubble wrap to take on the airplane when he took a trip. (of course that was in the olden days when bubble wrap wasn't considered a lethal weapon)

I think you have just come out of the closet, but after reading everyone else's answers, it looks like you are not alone. I did not know it was this much of an obssession for some. I have been know to do some popping myself, but not to the extent of actually going out to buy some myself, to secure my fix.
But whatever floats your boat. Happy popping.
