My computer is so slow. It takes forever to start up. Does this have anything to do with the computer configuration? Please breakdown.

Your computer is loading too many programs at start up,,,,,download windows defender from Microsoft ,,,it will show you all programs that are running in the back round ,,,,you can disable the ones you don't want to run unless you physically open them...Also click on start then start up and you can remove some programs there or not..After that defrag your hard drive and use "windows liveone care (Microsoft) to scan your computer ...it will remove any junk and clean your registry ..its free try it

youve got a decent machine there. its probably a virus. run some anti virus software and do a FULL system scan. if you don't have any then there are lots of free antivirus software out. if you don't like any of the free ones try a norton 360 trial. i think its for 30 or 60 days. install and then run the scan, then uninstall cos it takes up a lot of resources ad will slow down your startup. if after the scan you have removed any possible viruses and it is still slow, i would get a new CPU. also, info about your graphics card would help. if its an onboard gfx card, it WILL slow down your computer.

This can be a virus, run a virus scan. Your computer is just great. If you can't make any changes/scans. Re-install OS, this WILL work. I think scanning for viruses will also take forever

If you confirm that there is no virus, try disabling all your startups in msconfig. Click Start, click Run, type msconfig, ok. Select Startup tab, disable all, apply, ok. PC will restart. If loading of Windows is still slow, consider repairing it. Just follow this:
