Perhaps they should should just pass out scrubs at the gate for everyone to change into. I think it's an attempt to eject paid passengers in order to resell their tickets at a higher last minute price.

Yes, ridiculous.
This guy paid.
There are no dress codes listed on any website, or posted in the terminal, now if there was, that would be different but there is nt. If they cared about what he wore, they should have posted a dress code somewhere.

Very shortly after 9/11 I was on a flight out of LAX and there was a guy wearing a T-shirt that said something like 'FDNY 09/11/2001' and nobody said anything about it (American Airlines), I thought it was inapproriate to be wearing a T-shirt about 9/11 so soon after the event.....especially on an American Airlines plane, it could make people pretty nervous.

Scrubs, that's not a bad idea. I think a birthday suite is even better. Screeners are not perfect and bad things do get onto planes. I think there should be no carry on luggage as well. I put safety first and inconvenience is a small price to pay.

I think you have about the right idea of reselling their tickets.
I think airlines are bullies.
I was parked in front of a passenger pick-up when their security made me leave although my passenger could be seen approaching me.

The airlines are mad at hijackers because they are jealous they can't hurt their passengers as much as the hijackers can.

For a company that says they have no dress code for passengers, this is outrageous. I saw the story about the college student ... I think it is going overboard ...

it's way beyond stupid. we spend hours going through security lines, taking our shoes off, throwing away expensive items, having pocket knives confiscated, and then morons who supposedly know better tell us we're dressed inappropriately. that's why i don't fly any more. ignorant.

Airlines are taking it a bit too far. Who are they to tell him what he can't wear?

Yes.

The shirt was in poor taste, which, unfortunately, is becoming the norm. It appears we are definitely becoming a "classless" society.
