mike oldfield is it i remember hearing it in only fools and horses episode where del boy splits with raquel and then he is trying to get back with her really good episode, but del boy ends up singing it really well i think the episode he sings it in is fatal attraction of the 1986 christmas episode

I was at a Barry Manilow concert a few years ago, and he sang that very song.... (I believe he wrote it too)
