It depends on your natural abilities, and things you can learn... here are some options:
Companies outsource work these days… check with local businesses. Offer services and keep accounting and payroll records for them on your home computer. Write promotional materials. Learn how to design websites for them.
Offer your services as an interior decorator. Lot’s of people don’t have a clue when it comes to decorating, furnishing, and organizing their own home. Keep before and after pictures of those big transformations; that’s for your next sales pitch.
Do home upkeep or gardening for your neighbors. Grow fresh herbs and organic produce for your neighbors. Grow and sell exotic plants.
Today’s digital cameras make photography quite easy and inexpensive, so become your neighborhood photographer. Set up a little area with a drop cloth for background and you’re in business for portraits.
Good at picking up treasures at yard sales? Maybe the antique business.
Make things people want. Or if you like to cook, make dishes the neighbors might be wild about. Double your dinner recipe and make a deal with neighbors. They pick up a home cooked meal from you once a week.

Hi,
If you are seriously looking for a home business then the key is to know before you talk to people (respond to an Ad) about their business what your criteria is for a home business. I went through two businesses and lost lots of money before I figured out what I was looking for.
Ask yourself some questions:
1. How much time do I have to spend or how much time am I willing to spend?
2. Are the products or services things that people use everyday? are they consumable?
3. do I want to handle inventory?
4. do I want to collect money & deal with bounced checks?
5. do I want to deliver products?
6. Is this a business that most people can do?
7. How much money am I willing to invest to get started?
8. How much extra income do I need per month and how soon do I need it?
9. Are you looking for a job you can do from home or a business you can do from home? there's at big difference.
Once you know the answer to these questions it's easier to find the one that best works with your lifestyle.
I found the business I'm in now 3 years ago and get paid every month and it cost me less to get started than the first two I tried. It has more than paid for my initial investment and then some. The startup is minimal and it is possible to make it back in your first 3 months with consistent effort. It is an international company. you may contact me for more details.
I hope this helps.

You do not say what home business you are thinking of starting, so this makes it very difficult to give you an accurate answer. Go to the web site below and you may find the answer there in the FREE books - No. 6 is the one for you. The second one is for marketing your business. This is suitable for both Internet based and land based businesses and is also FREE. Best of luck.

First, you should never pay a lot of money for any home based business. By 'a lot' I mean more than $30 dollars for training material. Second, there are lots of opportunities that fall within this category. Determine what your goals and list out the type of work you would like to do. That will narrow the search.

I was once like you. I wanted to work from home. I had to do a lot of research before I found a legitimate opportunity. After trial and error I found 11 companies that are true work at home opportunities, 4 of them I am apart of and 2 of them give me steady checks. The other two I use their services and make an income from them as well. Contact me and I will share with you, I will not post anything here.

Loads of home based companies need payment for stock or training. If it says free, it probably has a catch somewhere, like you don't get paid or something!
I got sick of getting stung and when I let the corporate industry and became a mum, twice, I got bored and started buying a few unusual products and started selling them myself. Now I've a good little distribution business going on. You any sales experience? Let me know where in the world you are, maybe you can be my main source there? My e-mail open for info.
One word of warning........if it seems to good to be true, it isn't. You should never have to PAY to work for a company ever, period. Don't get caught out, good luck in whatever you do, nic.

Instead of investing in a company...I started by investing in my health (I also wanted to see the products work. You see I have lost a few thousands of dollars in companies that only made others money and didn't work "like they said they would", so I had a very hard time telling people what was told to me. I fell it was lying, So I have tried many things that haven't worked and was quite skeptical) The Isagenix products worked for me. I am 55 and have gone from a size 14 to a size 8!!! I have more energy, am sleeping better, thinking clearer and look like I am 40 again! I love it. ( I can wear my 21 year old daughter's jeans~! And she loves her "new mom" and my husband has a "new wife") I am sold. The products work. I became a consultant and am now building a team of successful people. My husband and daughter are also on the products and are building teams. I am looking for people who are seriously interested in becoming healthy as well as changing their financial situation. The products allow me to honestly tell people what they have done for me (and hundreds of others) and not to be ashamed to say I am part of the Isagenix team. I love it! God bless you and guide you in your search <><

Few things in life are truly "free." I found a health and wellness company with products that an asthmatic like myself can clean without coughing. I found vitamins that make me feel energized. I found a company that pays me for changing my shopping habits. I have no inventory, I don't distribute, and with an empty bottle money-back guarantee, I've got no risk -- all for $29.
