Begining to loose their.......
Minds?
Cool?
Self respect?

Looking through some of the questions I find myself horrified by the vile, vicious and quite frankly mentally unstable attacks from the people who claim to be the more level headed amongst us!

Before the insults start, this question is not directly about the McCanns, it is more about the effect the whole thing is having on some people.

Discuss........

you remind me of that chump in the white house, george bush

"youre either with us or against us"

i feel sorry for people who can only see things in black and white

people who are still obsessed with the mccanns need to get out more

this is the point where i get told i dont care about child neglect

you have to laugh at these simple people who have no grasp of life's priorities

I think that what started off as a spate of questions about Madeleine, and how this could have happened to her, has slowly turned into a debate which has become more and more vicious every day. Both sides are at fault, but people are saying some quite nasty things. Personally, I believe that the McCanns are guilty of child neglect, but until I see all the evidence, I am not passing judgement on their guilt or innocence as to their daughter's disappearance. I think that less people are interested in it now, their main concern is Madeleine (quite rightly.) Madeleine is the victim here, but that seems to have been forgotten by a lot of people who seem more intent on gaining bragging rights than finding out what happened to that poor girl. I think that everyone agrees that they just want Madeleine found though, and brought home safe. I know a lot of the anti-McCanns would like to be proved wrong, and see her brought home safely. In my view, the poison from both sides should stop until we are aware of all the facts, because these vile attacks from some people are not helping things, and just cause more conflict and tension.

I think, that like all fads, the McCann saga has run its course and has become boring. I think that most people have lost interest. I don't think pro-McCanns are losing their cool, minds or self respect. I admit I still think the parents were involved, but that is my opinion and I am entitled to it.

However, I don't pre-occupy myself with the McCanns and their situation because I have my own life. I still have my opinion, I just don't care anymore. Don't get me wrong, I care for the little girl Madeleine, but the whole situation was publicised so much, and the level of interest from the public was so high, that the bubble eventually burst and everyone has moved on.

Tomorrow there will be another news story that everyone will be talking about. Thats the way it goes.

Anything people feel strongly about can bring out either the best or the worst in them.
The vile attacks aren't limited to just the pro-McCanns as I think your question is trying to imply.
It's just as wrong to suggest this as to say that pro's are somehow more caring than anti's (as I've seen in at least one answer).
People are people -there are nice, considerate anti's, just as there are horrible, vicious pro's and vice versa.

You're quite right about the negative effects. I think that everyone here, on both sides and even those who are sitting on the fence, is getting dragged down into a whirling eddy of innuendo, accusations, counter-accusations, insults, some of them (as you say) personal and vicious ... what is the point? where is it all leading? We still don't know the truth and we have to face the possibility that we never will. But in the face of a total lack of evidence either way, everyone is entitled to their opinion and insults should not be the response on either side. Just my opinion so please don't insult me :-)

I think everyone needs to take a deep breath, agree that nobody knows what really happened, shake hands (virtually) and start afresh ... anyone agree?

i am very pro mc canns and i believe that all intances such as these should be continually in the news, i'm not going to write about lazy journalism anymore , but just to say the news is supossed to be about the news not about bussiness's and not capialtalist oriented,
the bubble hasn't burst nor should it ever burst , it should be in the news with the other intances till it is resolved, it is the short term memory of a vast amount of sheep which causes people to say that the bubble has burst

and to be honest i have reread some of the answers given and i have to say some of you people are really nasty ,
sure everyone is entiteled to an opinion but , lord above some of your opinions are really nasty ,
in truth if i was in their place i would be doing more , ie finding out every ******* one of the peopdos who live in portugal , and personally killing each one of them , then i would use whichever criminal contacts i have to do the same in spain and most importantly in morrocco , not to mention the ivf list nuters, i would want a list of every ivf couple living in the area at the time ,

There is fault on all sides. Some people take everything very personally.

Over in Toddler and Preschool I have just been insulted for insiting on buying decent properly fitted shoes for my son!

what annoys me about them is the fact that they keep telling us to get out more and get a life.
cant they understand that people on here HAVE lives outside, but still come on here and give their opinions.
a bit of pot kettle and black if you ask me.
They also think they are ALWAYS right. I'd love to know why they are so pro mccann and are adamant they are innocent.....HOW THE HELL DO THEY KNOW.....WERE THEY THERE?????

ok......Minds....does that refer to the multiple IDs they have? if not then it should just be plain mind, due to the fact they all seem to be stuck with the same opinion and have difficulty in understanding other view points.

Cool........Can't loose what you never had.

Self Respect...No self respecting person would ask for an opinion, and then vilify the ones that don't agree with them.
