To me it is of utmost importance. I would rather work or be with someone that was honest, trustworthy, honorable, than someone that looked great, with none of the other traits. This is not to say that beautiful people don't have these traits.

A person's character tells us alot about their inner beauty. I believer inner beauty is so much better than outer beauty. As far as materialism, it depends how much value a person places on material items if it affects their character. Everyone like to be comfortable. But, at what cost?

I know some extremely beautiful women who are seriously ugly because of their personalities.

People who are not so attractive in appearance can radiate a glow from within because of their inner beauty, and become beautiful in appearance in everyone's eyes.

Beauty is within the person and the outside appearance is insignificant.
