None of the United States requires notification of the father. The doctor however may refuse to perform an abortion without notification.
I don't want to get into a debate here, unmarried women must decide wheter to notify or not. Married women however should discuss it first. If they don't, might as well start divorce proceedings at the same time.

No, There is no legal requirement for a woman to inform her husband if she has had or is intending to have an abortion. But out of respect/love/honesty (etc) she really should be honest to her husband about it.

I hope not. Legally it's her body, her husband/partner doesn't get a say. I would think that if there was such a law in place a lot more women who wanted abortions would be raped and not know who their attacker was.
Morally they should. They are husband/wife for a reason, for better or worse.. till death do us part.

I don't think so, as they are adults. Morally, they should, but making it a legal matter could be dangerous for the woman. It's not the same thing as needing permission from the baby's father to give the child up for adoption.

I am a living abortion. My mother went to Tijuana to have the procedure but backed out at the last minute. I think that it should be a law to notify the father, not that it really makes any difference. He can't stop her, can he?
