Okay, nasty people who make your life a misery, especially if your different.
Don't make excuses for them, poor family background etc. does not mean someone has a right to make some else miserable.
Most bullies are often cowards, they only pick on those that seem unable or unwilling to defend themselves.
If you know someone is being bullied, be their friend, find out about the person, bring them into your group of friends, show the bullies that the people they pick on are not alone.
Bullies pick on people because they have low self esteem, they are fat, have glasses, are seen to be or are gay, don't have the latest things, are seen as boffs, anything that makes some one out as not ordinary.
Always accept that everyone is different, thye bully themselves may have low self esteem, maybe you need to find out why they think like they do, try to understand without agreeing to what they do.
Once you find out why the bully picks on someone, suggest the reason as a question for debate, bullying comes from ignorance.
If you do find out that something at home is the trigger, bullied by an older brother, parent, abused at home in some way, help them to get help for the problem.
Never respond with violence or aggression, that way the bully wins, as they can alsways turn that to their advantage and claim to be bullied themselves.
Remember, there is always someone you will not like, there are those that for what ever reason will not like you, accept that, if you need to have contact with the person, tolerate them and try not to rise to the bait.
At school always report anything you see that you do not think right to a teacher or school worker you can trust, don't shrug your shoulders and think it is not your business, it could always be your turn next.
If you are the bully, think about why your behaving the way you do, again, if you think what your doing is wrong, speak to someone you can trust, tell them how you feel and why. If the things that you do to others were done to you, would you be happy with that?

There is a law - bullies usually abuse other people verbally mentally physically and emotionally.
Report them to parents, school head teacher, police Social Services a restraining order which if broken is against the law and can be jailed or fined.
Down the bullies, down the abusers.

Yeah i agree with you . But there are reason someone is a bully. They may be coming from a troubled life that is why they bully . But if people took the time to look at that then maybe all the bullies will stop .

School bullies - fine the parents . first offense - suspend student and fine parents -second offense , third offense -expel student. Not much to do with the cyber and jail bullies .

A bully isnt a permanent label often its just one bad experience/ squabble. I remember at school, I was about 8 and some little kid was saying hit me hit me over and over and he was hitting me, then eventually I tapped his arm, he immediately went to the teacher saying how I was bully and had hit him!
Cest la vie. If there was law blimy I would have been locked up.

No. Survival of the fit. I got beat up a lot in highschool, so I took self defense lessons. The chances of me being mugged as an adult are very slim. There will always be violence. That is an unfortunate aspect of human behavior. People just have to learn to defend themselves.

Send them to bully boot camp. Let the bullying be reversed, and see how they like it.
They will learn to be nice,coz theres no other way out,hehe:)

bullies are sheep in wolves clothing and are cowards so always distant yourself if you can and if not hang with a few friends there is strength in numbers. unfortunately no law will solve this problem in our society so we have to deal with them the best we can, life isn't always fair.

all bullies are cowards...they only attack others when they are in groups, they don't have the guts to do it alone, that's why they are cowards...bullies should be locked up in a jail with people who are MORE bullyish than themselves so it teaches them a lesson....
