They will never, willingly, return to Portugal, and the garbage they keep spouting makes me sick.Kate is reported to have said.......When l was named as a suspect my world came crashing down.Hallo.......if my daughter had gone missing why would l be worrying about myself? IF I HAD NOTHING TO FEAR.They are banking on one fact..that the missing girl will not be found. It would mean the end of their careers, and l think that is their main purpose in keeping up the charade. And now that the British Police suspect that Maddie was killed in the apartment clan McCann will pull out all the stops to prevent the pair from being extradited to Portugal. You can for cast their response......no fair trial....too much media interest. No body,so until you find one we are innocent. And of course..someone else done it.But l am very curious.......why is it the rich and powerful have flocked to their aid?Are they members of an elite club that we do not know about?Because they are CRIMINALS.They admitted deserting the children that night, and for that alone they MUST stand trial.Lets see them spin out of that.

It never ceases to amaze me how many intelligent, reasonable people seem always to chose to take the path of NAIVITY !!
I mean, what else needs to be found out, established, worked out for people to see that the McCanns have caused the death of their daughter ? Why don't people just say something like "yes, they did it but they are doctors and should be let off the hook" -- It would save a lot saliva on this board... ! - Now at last "...the British police think along the same lines as the Portuguese and are convinced that Madeleine died in the apartment."
I have to agree totally with what you say in your question. As I have said it here time and time again, the PJ-GNR are "...experienced, trained professional policemen, experts in their fields, not 3rd world idiots. They have nothing to gain from "setting up" the McCanns." - You have said it better than I could have ever said it !

WELL WELL WELL !
Finally someone who can see this case for what it really is !
I believe the McCann's have NO intention of going back to Portugal off their own bat..as like you say..why would they bring in Lawyers who are experts in fighting extradition ?
I also agree that the Police on both sides would have NOTHING to gain from setting the McCann's up...and i would like someone to explain as to what makes people think they would..i have however asked this question before, and the only answer i get is "The Police would do anything just to get a conviction "...WHY and for what purpose ? It wouldn't make any sense !
Well it still surprises me as to why the Mccann's left Portugal in the first place...they got less bad press while they were there...and although i admit that none of us know exactly how we would behave under these dreadful circumstances....i think as a mother my place would have had to be precisely where my child went missing....and if i felt as strongly as the McCann's supposedly do about the Portuguese Police giving up on the search......then I'd have been back there weeks ago looking myself.....and doing my own searching !!

I don't think they'll go back, and the latest developments are very interesting. I wonder if the British police will be 'incompetent' and 'trying to frame them' too? I agree, they had nothing to gain by setting the McCanns up. Surely it would be easier to set Robert Murat up, seeing as how everyone was already determined that he had done it. The bit about the extradition lawyer is also very strange. The next few days should be very informative.

Regarding setting up the McCanns. It would protect tourism as no one likes the idea of Portugal being a hotspot for the traffiking of children. It would also save the police a lot of time and money as they wouldn't have to bother tracking down any suspects.
Your hatred and stupidity astound me.

Only when they feel sure that they will be able to walk out again. There will be a lot of toes dipped in water before wither of the McCanns sets foot in Portugal,

No way!! They won't come to Portugal unless they are charged or if requested by the police. They wouldn't go back home without Maddie then they would stay until they cleared their names but as soon as they became suspects they ran away.

If they've said that they wouldn't go yes I believe they could go, but they said that they go so I don't think so.
They are trying to turn this man to their side but, bad news McCanns his from Lisbon where the lifestyle, transports, anything for a practical life in a daily basis it's better than London, so not 3rd world like they think it is and careful because this one goes straight to the point.
Just hope that because he was giving training to Scotland Yard officers would turn him to "the other side".
Good point, star.
