Hi Van, I have just seen this word thrown in a lot in various different questions saying that there is a haters clique and the only reason we answer the way we do is because we actually believe in the points we make, but really we just want to stand up for the friends we have made...

I read that in an answer yesterday grumples, apparently shambo has his very own clique! (I thought he had rather too many haters to form a clique but oh well what do I know??)
I think if you dare agree with anyone on here you are automatically that person using another ID or you have formed a clique and think you own the site (I have heard this also) LOL

A point well-made is a point well-made whichever side of the argument it's on. Just for the record, I for one have absolutely no problem with anyone disagreeing with what I've said as long as it's done in a rational and polite manner. I might even be swayed to a different viewpoint, if I feel there's enough real evidence in what's being said.
I do object to hate-speech on either side, to baseless assumptions being touted as facts, to being labelled, classified and judged by someone who doesn't know me, and to the assumption that all "anti-McCanns" must be haters and all "pro-McCanns" must also be pro-leaving your kids to go out drinking.
I've no idea who is in what clique, if there are any. Why don't people see there's middle ground? SOME of the anti's make good reasoned points, as do SOME of the pro's.

It gets more and more like the school playground in here every day.
They are in fact the 'haters clique' because they hate us for not agreeing with them.
I don't hate the McCanns. I just don't believe they looked after their kids properly and I think they should answer for it.

I only dislike the users who feel it necessary to abuse others that don't share their point of view.
I don't agree with what the McCanns did but that is not going to bring their daughter back. And neither is sniping at people who support and back the McCanns 100%. I dont think it should be split into two camps. We are all pro Madeliene at the end of the day.

This site is like one of those dodgy american school shows with all the different little groups (i wonder if american schools are actually like that?). Why does everyone have to be against each other, i'm sure there are plenty of people like myself who don't know the truth because it hasn't been found.
Why don't you all just stop arguing and wait until there is actually some sort of outcome to the whole thing

IThe response you get from the pro-McCann clan is possible down to this simple fact.They probably honestly believe that no-one could be that cold-blooded enough to first of all desert three children,possible drug them,and then,when they find one dead begin an elaborate hoax to protect their careers,a hoax that snowballed,becoming a total monster,leaving the pair no way out.ln a sick way you have to admire their confidence,they have said from the word go...find a body or shut up.They must be VERY confident that the body will never be found.l for one pray that one way or the other Maddie WILLbe found,and those responsible be brought to justice.
