Hi Third P.

Yes, I do believe there is happiness for a person's mind to be raised above the confusion of things. We can all become lost in the confusion of the world, very easily. However, there is, in my humble opinion, a way to rise above all the confusion, no longer to be lost.

That way, my friend, is through God. With Him, all things are clear — there is no more confusion. He sets the path before us, and we just follow it.

However, it is still easy to get lost in the confusion of the world because, for a while, we have to live in it. It makes it very difficult, at times, to keep our focus on God, and let go of the world's temptations. It is important to stay, "in the world, but not part of the world," as it says in the Bible. That means that while we must live IN the world, we do not succumb to being OF the world, following the earthly desires.

The song, Amazing Grace, has a few lines — "I once was blind, but now I see...I once was lost, but now I'm saved." Those simple lines tell us that God can raise us above all the confusion...help us to see and also to save us. If we put ourselves in His hands, we will rise above it all.

I learned, many years ago, something called The Serenity Prayer. Not a day goes by without my saying that prayer more than once.

The Serenity Prayer

God, grant me
the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can, and
the wisdom to know the difference.

Saying this simple prayer often helps to clear my head, to learn if what is in front of me is something I can do something about or if it's something I have to let go of, leave it for God to take care of.

When we pur ourselves in the hands of God, it will be easier to respect the order of nature and also see the errors of mankind. We can pray & meditate about God's purpose for us versus the pull of earthly desires. It does take a lot of hard work; but it becomes easier over time.

A S K of God:

Ask and it shall be given to you,
Seek and you shall find,
Knock and the door shall be opened to you.

The world has always been in confusion. People have always refused to obey God's teachings. He destroyed the world once, but promised never to do it again. So He sent His only Son to earth — Jesus.

Jesus gives us all the teaching we need to know, how to survive, even thrive in this world, how to treat each other, etc. He then gave us the most marvelous gift. Instead of all mankind being put to death, Jesus, Himself, allowed others to put Him to death. He died in our place. He died for us, so that we may be saved.

That's how I have risen above the confusion of the world. I walk with Him.

Someday, I will live with Him.

Peace.

yes, when man accepts what he can not understand as simply being - "perhaps i am not meant to understand" a gains focus on the importance of life instead then he can reach a higher level of acceptance and understanding from within in which eternal happiness can be claimed.

"God, grant me the SERENITY to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference." The "confusion" of things is in not knowing "who you are, where you are, and what your place in this world is," to paraphrase Marcus Aurelius. Discover those things and seek serenity in what is beyond your power to chance. ACCEPTANCE is the key to understanding what can and cannot be changed.

He could leave his parents or divorce his wife and her parents. If that is not sufficient, become a reclusive hermit.

The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.
