There are some doctors who do this but taking clomid will not raise your chances all that much....especially if you ovulate regularly anyway. I have PCOS and I rarely ovulate on my own so I had no choice but to take that. My first pregnancy was a singleton. My second was twins. My third pregnancy (current) started as triplets but two of the babies have already died so I am down to one.

If you want multiples you have a whole lot more to think about than just how fun and cute it is to have a bunch of babies. Multiple pregnancies are high risk for you and the babies. It is no picnic carrying multiples either. The stress on the body, especially toward the end of the pregnancy, is nearly unbearable. I literally thought my pelvis would crack in two from the weight. Your chances of a c-section are also doubled. If this would be your first pregnancy and you don't know what it is like to have one baby then you should consider that fact that one baby causes a lot of tension in the marriage and two? You will also need a good amount of help because the care of multiple newborns and recovering from the birth is a tremendous amount of work. Diapers and formula costs us 400-600 a month having twins and don't get the notion that breastfeeding will necessarily work out for you as there are sometimes complications/situations that will prevent you from feeding one, let alone, two or more babies. You also need double the clothing and baby accessories and that really adds up.

You have a lot to think about realistically before trying to get pregnant with multiples. However, if you really insist ask for the injectibles like pergnaol or repronex or consider IVF. Thos will greatly increase your risk for multiples but are also very expenisve and you could still end up with none, one, or a lot more than one babies.

There's only a 10% bigger chance of having a multiple pregnancy on clomiphene. There are some side effects that you should look into. I haven't heard of someone with healthy reproductive health taking it, so I can't really help you there. But I have wondered the same thing.

I have Pcos and have used clomid to get pregnant, as a result I now have 2 children but not twins.
Clomid carries a risk of multiples in women who have problems ovulating with out giving it to a healthy fertile women to achieve a multiple pregnancy. If you find a Doctor willing to give you the drug (doubtful) you may end up with more than twins, it may be triplets or quads. Your body will have to go through so much because you want two babies at once.
My Doctor told me there is a 20% risk of multiples while taking clomid in women with ovulation troubles, plus there is a risk of hyperstimulation of your ovaries which means you will ovulate 10+ (think greater) eggs at once and your ovaries get a swollen and hurt (I don't think that would be fun when mine are already full of cysts and swollen anyway).

If a Doctor let you do this you would be in a higher risk bracket for ovarian cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer and uterine cancer, pretty much all your female bits. I know because I have to get screened more regularly then most because of how many times I have used this drug.

It maybe better if you let nature take its own course, but if you insist then try to get a referal to a gyno and see what they say.

Good luck on your adventure.

Its not that safe to use, but it must be perscribe by a dr for you, some Dr wouldn't give it to you because your already ovulating on your owns, Clomid does have a low rate of multiples, but it is mostly perscribe to ladies who are ovulating but have problems with their lethus phase (SP) or who have pcos and need a boost in ovulating, clomid is dangerous in some ways were u can get larger ovaries and it can cause some harm to the ovaries and make some matters worse like hosticle cervical mucus where the sperm struggles to meet the egg, I am currenlty taking clomid 100mg this is my 4th cycle and its my last month because its not working with me, I have pcos and was ttc#1 for 4 years now, the best thing I could tell you is make the right choice for it is a 50/50 chances those side effects can happen

No. do in no way take drugs devoid of speaking with a doctor first. Clomid is an particularly severe drug. sure, one area result is this is can bring about launch of distinctive eggs and consequently twins/triplets. different area outcomes contain cysts on your ovaries. in case you only had a sparkling infant and are purely 18 years previous, wait only a touch. do not you prefer to get an education first? take excitement in time consisting of your new child? New husband?
