We used to have a party every year in our house when we were young. All the cousins would get together and go to the houses in the neighbourhood. When we got back we would divide all our treats between us. We played games like bobbing for apples, try to eat an apple hanging from a string, another good one was that you had to be blindfolded and there would be a number of plates in front of you with different things on them and you had to eat what ever was on it, some were nice and some not so nice!
Great fun.
This year I'm going for dinner with friends. (much more grown up and civilised!!!!)

Favorite?
Does: Being scared sh!tless so much that after 10 years I still had nightmares about it count as favorite?
This year I'm making a jack in the letterbox.
There will appear a 10 foot 'ghost' from the letterbox when someone gets onto the driveway.

Mine would be when my parents used to park at the begining of a street and walk me down one side and back up the other to the car. My parents aren't together anymore...
I'm a character in a haunted house this year. :)

I hate the whole halloween thing. This imported trick or treat nonsense is just glorified begging. i don't let my kids go, but we do a pumpkin lantern and apple bobbing at home.

dressing up my little girl and going round our neighbourhood in London and seeing the effort families had gone to to accomodate the little monsters..... I really didn't expect it in th UK.
For my own fun, one year in San Fransisco, they party hard and EVERYone dressed up - we drove for hours to get back in time... ;-)
