Double buggys are a pain unless you get the tandem type and they can be very bulky, I suggest you try a baby sling and a single pushchair that has a lie back function and is suitable for your new born, that way you can put the toddler in the buggy and carry the baby in the sling whilst using public transport and then in places where you think your toddler is safe to walk you can put baby in the buggy and give yourself a rest from carrying him/her, dont underestimate how heavy little babies can become when you're carrying them in a sling for long periods!!
I'm a nanny and used to be in charge of 2 little boys with a similar age difference to your two and found using the sling + buggy was the best option.
Good luck with the birth ;)

I think you will need a double buggy....15 months is way too young to travel in London another way...unless you put the 15 month old in a buggy and have the baby in a baby bjorn sling...

i have seen these double buggys with 3 wheel things they look like the same size as a single pram. but saying that i had a double tandem duo i have a 5,4,30 month and i am 14 weeks pregnant and what i am going to do this time is get a buggy board for my 30 month as he will be 3. it is hard work but i am sure you will find something that will work for you

hiya,
Our new one is 6 wks old now and Millie is 18mths...
i have a double buggy + 2 singles pushchairs each for them and 2 slings - !!!
I have to admit though we use the ' hug-a-bub ' sling and Millies Zapp buggy all the tme as it's so easy as baby is so comfy and getting out is no probs at all.
Definately get a baby sling as they are fab for in the house if baby won't settle / has colic.
On experience this is my advice!

I don't know if you have the toddler seat attachments for prams in london but they are usually available on Phil & Teds prams and Valco brand prams. i would research this in your area.
Also have you thought about getting a stroller for the toddler and putting the baby in a carry harness strapped to you? This might be the way to solve your problems at least for 6mths or so until the older one is able to walk by itself/holding hands etc..

best of luck, I'm sure you'll find a way that will work for you

well i think you will be OK you just have to learn how to give lots of attention to both of your children and not just one, my best friend have two about the same age as yours and she is doing just fine with everything it's a miracle so just do your best to try and keep both of them happy, like when the newborn is sleep try to play with and love your 8 month old, trust me it will work and they both will be happy
