No mantid is poisonous as far as I know. They catch their prey through an extremely rapid strike from their raptorial arms - thats why they're always held up, flexed and ready to attack in a tiny fraction of a second, held up in 'prayer' hence the name.

Nope - no mantid is known to be venomous. They use their blinding speed and great strength to capture and kill their prey. Venomous organisms either use their venom for defense or use it instead of things like speed and strength.
