I have a Latvian thirteen stringed instrument called a Kokle which is highly decorated and completely hand made. It is a bit like a zither. Our cat used to go into ecstacies when I played it.

I recently lost almost all of my posessions. My mother when she told me expected wailings and gnashing of teeth, but I was quite philosophical. Possessions can be replaced, albeit slowly. The only things I was a bit upset about were two pictures one done by my mother when she was 15 - she will be 70 next week. and another by my step-father who was almost blind when he did it. Thankfully my kokle was at my mother's house.

Possession? So that takes out family, friends and faculties etc - being that you can't 'possess' these people and personal traits. I would say my home then.

My daughter, it took me 10 years of miscarraiges and ectopic pregnancies to have her and she was worth it all and more three times over.
I really shouldnt call her a possession, I would say my fathers penknife who died when i was 17.

My mom gave me a beautiful diamond ring that belonged to my grandmother, she gave it to me just before she died.
I have two older sisters who think they should of been given the ring but my mom thought I was the one to recieve such a priceless gift.

My Cartier watch. I don't have a lot of designer wear, but this was a present from a very special person and it means a lot to me.
