i had a friend who was WW2 veteran who is now deceased.
he was a black man and we were very close.he talked to me
alot about things that he didnt talk about with most people.
like events that he witnessed and was part of in the war.
he also talked about how things were in america back then
concerning african-americans and how they were treated as
if they were a lower class of people and didnt have the same
rights and privileges such as their access to certain public
places , restrooms etc.
here was a man who had served his country, risking life and limb everyday fighting for the freedom of others, and yet some
that he had fought for treated him as if he were inferior to
them when he was back in his home country...the same nation and people that he had fought for.

racism is a terrible thing...what are your thoughts?

It's dispicable. In my country Kenya, we were colonised by the Brits who used the divide and rule system. So what happened was, natives were divided into upper and lower classes. Till today a white guy in our own country is still regarded as superior. Its shameful, unbiblical (if ur a christian) and unnecessary. If you look at life introspectively, we all go through the same stuff, we love, we cry, we bleed, we die! the colour of our skins has nothing to do with it. May i sound cliche?
WHY CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?

I will agree with you but, can I ask you this: Why would a black man call himself an African-American? I don't call myself an Polish-American. I'm proud to be an American and will die this way, I will stand up and be called an American.

Why does the Black man insist on changeing their names to African names they cannot pronounce, some are so long their own kids cannot pronounce them or, even spell them until high school. Tell me the why's of this will you.

The blacks themselves seem to want to seperate themselves from us, the whites, then they look at us and, ask why we don't like them? I just stated two reasons, they themselves are pushing themselves away.

Yes, I agree, racisim is a terrible thing but, it works both ways here, not just one. We are always to blame, the white and, that isn't fair.

I have also worked with the Black, they themselves hate each other according to how black they are. My friend was black, he told me one time he was locked into his job by the sup because of his skin, I told him, what the heck do you mean, he then clued me in, he was black, the sup was brown, "black, go away and don't come back" and, they meant it by trying to harm him, I stuck by him, when they saw two of us, they turned away. My letter was sealed after that, I was told I'm all through. I quit the job, it was so biased. The blacks were the worst.

These are my thoughts.

Hi,
Yes,racism is a terrible thing to say the least.I have had several friends that were all different nationalities. To me they were just like my family, and many times I seen them treated bed.I did not just stand there either.
I see it every day all over the town where I live.It is not a good thing that's for sure.
I seem to always get involved. And that is as it should be.
But until people change their hearts, and their way of thanking. That is what we will have .

I agree.

I wonder how people (mostly caucassians ...no offense) can be so rude and cruel.

Crimes done by african americans, middle eastern, latinos or asians are usually more
emphasized in the news or in rumors involving white people.

I have nothing against caucassian racists, but i just wonder what would make them realize that they too make mistakes in life and may also be punished for their mistakes.

I'm asian and i would love to see the World with Peace and harmony for my children to live in.

yes it is terrible.Luckily it has come a long way since then.Even now thou and forever there will always be racism.Unfortunately some people don't have the same up bringing or mentality to accept the difference in the colour of peoples skin.Normally narrow minded people.

Of course it is! The colour (or lack thereof) of my skin has nothing to do with the genuineness of my heart. There are good people in every race, and very bad ones as well. We should look for actions, not words.

I agree. Thankfully the civil rights and the part about blacks not being treated fair are gone now but not everything is 100% perfect. Many blacks still live in poverty.

Galatians 3:28-29 says: “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed and heirs according to the promise.” †

So in God’s eyes no race is better then any other race, we are all the same in Christ. †

yes I do agree that racism is a terrible thing...
neither color nor race should not justify the whole being of somebody...
people are the same in every way...
so they should be treated the same as well..
