Go hire a lawyer. Stash some money away first.

There was a big yellow soft cover book in the bookstores in 1990 called DIVORCE Do it yourself. The cost then was twenty five dollars. And I think I spent another twenty or thirty dollars on copys and other fees. And a little over ninty days later I was happily divorced. The book has all the needed forms and instructions. Good luck!

Five years, you should have the Green card then. And it's your right to stay in this country. Your son was born here and has automatic US citizenship.
What I would do , if you do not have the financial needs go to your local state legal aid office. Here they can assist you with further steps. I would defintley also look into getting m citizenship permamently. So than you have the right to work here.Immigrant myself and gone through the process.
