I'd want to clap my hands and by that treat incurable diseases. I did try, but the only thing that happened was that I looked like a clapping fool.

There are certain limitations, but within reason I do believe that if I want it I can get it or do it.
I can't change the world at a blink of the eye, but I can make changes that will touch others in this world one moment at the time. The great thing about such touches is that they spread like ripples on the water and one day they might have spread around the world without me knowing it.

You know, there's a famous Russian science fiction book, called "Monday starts on Saturday". In that book one of the characters could perfom any miracle. On one condition. Performing this miracle shouldn't harm anyone. So he was helpless and could do nothing at all. So, every action has it's consequences. If you start to do whatever you want to do, you won't be satisfied with it. So the answer is no.

i think so.
granted "putting your mind to it" requires more than simply thinking about it.
it would also tend to require an effort in whatever direction. some things are possible by sheer mental confidence/desire though.
depends what it is.
