I do now! Thanks, I've often had the urge to put metal and a carbonated beverage in an enclosed area like a microwave and then heat it until it created a life threatening situation in my home.

Thanks to you I now can resist the urge. Saved me some money too. You're a gem.
Peace.

EDIT: Oh, thank goodness you destroyed government property and not your own personal appliances. People are so cool about their "tax dollars" I'm sure they won't mind this. And it's a good thing all those fire fighters were there to keep the building from burning down. Talk about embarrassing, a fire at the fire station.

(LOL, you are funny.)

EDIT: Oh, I see, it's one of those rare firehouses where Irish and Italian people work. The drunk Irish and the Italian that has a perchance for extortion. Great partnership. New York, Boston or Chicago?

EDIT: Peggy S. Wait in the car or earn some money and buy a clue. Do you really think a government worker would be that stupid and waste a COKE? They'd have to walk clear to the vending area to get another one.

Since you enjoy playing with microwaves, let me give you a hint. Do not boil any liquid for too long (They say over 2 minutes, but I think it is more). When you go to pick up the container, it may explode in your face. There have been sevral cases of people doing that and distorting their faces from the burns.

No, but don't put a egg (still in the shell) in there! That sucker blew up too, sounded like a gunshot. I live in Los Angeles, so I hit the floor. When I realized what it was, oh what a mess. Ya never would think one little egg would cover every square inch of the inside of that microwave!

I HAVE DONE THAT TOO AND THE DOOR NEVER BLEW OFF AND IT DIDNT BURST IN TO FLAMES. IT DID HOWEVER SPARK UP ALOT. THE FUNNIEST THING I HAVE PUT IN THE MICROWAVE IS A POP CAN THAT I FILLED UP WITH GAS THAT BLEW UP GOOD THE MICROWAVE WENT AT LEAST 20 FEET IN THE AIR I DID THIS OUT SIDE.

Next time, stick with AOL CD's.

They stink up the place, but if you look through the microwave door, you'll get a mini fireworks show...

Kinda like if you ball up tin foil or put a CD in there you will have a light show BUT BEFORE you do that just watch the episode of Mythbusters cause they did a whole show on it! Good luck!

Uh cans are metal...metal and microwaves tend not to mix well and when you heat carbonated things like that the pressure builds up and it needs to be released somehow
not exactly the smartest thing Ive ever heard of
be thankful you weren't hurt..

I believe this is because it was a closed pressurised can plus you should NEVER put anything metallic in the microwave!
