I get about 250-300 words per page and I do a page in about 25 minutes if I also have to cite or about 15 minutes if it's completely opinion.

600 words would be two to two-and-a-half pages so, I'd plan that I need 45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes on it.

This assumes I don't have to do any research at all while I'm writing, just sit down and write. Adding research to it, then it depends on the topic. Adding charts, tables, and graphs will add to the time too.

I write a lot though and get plenty of practice. I wish I could write 2.5 pages in 5-10 minutes, it takes me 5 minutes just to set up Word and get started. ☺

Using WPM typing speed assumes you don't need to think up anything to write - that it pours out of your head at your WPM speed. I wish my brain would do that, it doesn't. I have to formulate the idea and then develop the paragraph first.

How fast can you type? At 60 words per minute it would take 10 minutes.
