I just started community college. I have taken 2 classes each 3 credits so i have a combines 6 credits. How many credits do i need to graduate. Or how many classes do i need to take to graduate. I am in general studies and I'm confused i have no clue how college goes after this semester. Or even what classes to pick next time even though my councilor will help me, i wanna start looking now, cuz there are many cool classes out there.

You need to get, and learn how to read, a copy of the college's catalog and degree requirements. Advisers are great but the responsibility for completing your degree requirements rests entirely with you.

An associates degree requires about 60 semester hours of credit. An average class is 3 semester hours credit (like the classes you've taken). So, 60/3 = 20 classes needed for your degree. Congrats! you're 10% finished. ☺

If you plan to use this degree to transfer into a bachelor's degree program, you need to take transfer level courses and specifically the courses required where you want to go. You're generally safe taking things like English, History, Math, Sciences, Social Sciences, and the Arts (art, music, theatre). You should avoid vocational type courses and business courses unless you know for sure they will transfer.

If you're doing this general education degree as your only degree and don't plan to transfer to a bachelor's degree - you can take anything you want to. You can take anything you'd like to learn as long as you understand that some classes won't transfer up.

I've taken a lot of classes over the years that didn't fit in my degree just because I wanted to "learn cool stuff". I don't regret a single one.

If you're bright enough to attend Community College profitably, you should be bright enough to figure out how to graduate.

By the way, your writing skills are atrocious. You should take remedial English if you hope to get a decent job after CC.
