When we were younger, my twin sister used to encourage me to sing & write poetry & I was too shy to do it. When I started to write poetry & songs later in life, she got mad & said I was copying off of her & jealous & trying to compete with her, when I wasn't. I kind of think she set me up. She kept BEGGING me to sing for years & years, & I was too shy.

you know what?you're probably better than her and it took her by suprise. i don't think you should give it up. she's jealous and no you are not coping her. she encouraged you and you finally felt comfortable to go for it.
I don't like copy cats, but you're not a copy cat.
maybe you being to shy is why she kept buggin you, she knew you wouldn't it so she didn't feel she lost amnything by telling you too.
but w/e. keep it up, hey, we might be hearing your song on the top 100 one day (that is if you want to do this as a career but if not, then still keep it up,lol)

Not especially. I can usually just ignore it. It's no big deal.

There is nothing to stop you doing what you enjoy doing, just don't tell her.
