I'm really mad about it. I didn't find out till today. My wife and I were like - the new season has started. Where the heck is lost? Lets look it up.

I feel like the folks at ABC have no appreciation for their audience. I have signfican't marketing experience... I recognize the need to create scarcity at times to increase engagement. However, it's criminal what they've done. They took an awesome show with a loyal following and managed to disengage or piss off a good portion of their audience. Desperate Housewives similary has gotten very screwed up.

Can I get an amen from anyone? Please bear witness to torture by ABC marketing execs who think they know how to market television. How tragic is it that such great concepts get such great launches but loyal fans aren't appropriately rewarded for their loyalty?

I'm still probably watch it. But I hate you ABC. I will not let you engage me in another show, no matter how good.

Here's the story in a nutshell.

Beginning with the 2007–2008 television season, the final 48 episodes of Lost will be aired as three seasons with sixteen episodes each. Thus, Lost will conclude with its sixth season. These seasons are to be aired uninterrupted in the first half of those years.

So not only do we have to wait until February, we only get 16 episodes instead of the standard 22 or 24.

Oh well, I'll still watch it until the end!

You guys are exactly right... the long Hiatius that it had last season did a number on its viewership, along with running at 10pm the second half (to avoid running against American Idol). So to wait until winter to start airing it all together in one big strip... is a much better move for the show. Although it does STINK for the fans to wait that long!

They actually did it because last year after they put it on hiatus they lost a large part of their audience. People forgot to tune back in to watch the rest of the season. I don't think they're trying to purposely withhold to create anticipation, they're just trying to hold onto their viewers. It does suck for fans, but at least you'll get to watch it consecutively.

Now you know what Nip/Tuck fans go through ! LOL Anyway, I don't know when tv shows started filming for only 6 weeks of viewing time, then got the rest of the year off. And yes, I get mad about Nip/Tuck, so I know how you feel about Lost.

My sister Britanny is into that crap. Throwing away hard-earned tip money on each collector's season pack (50$ EACH) I couldn't sit one episode after the first one aired. The one and only answer I am truly looking for is:

WHEN THE BLOODY **** ARE THESE PEOPLE GONNA GO HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?
