I have been a bit unwell recently and a bit vacant (absent minded). After my 7 day break (my period time) I started taking my first pill again as you do. However, I have just realised that I started taking them on the 7th break day instead of the day after as I am supposed to. I have never done this before and must have had a total brainstorm!

Is it okay to just carry on taking them as normal and accept that I will now be starting and finishing on a Tuesday instead of a Wednesday, or do I have an 8 day break next time and start taking them back on the Wednesday again?

Just keep taking them as usual. You will move everything one day sooner. DO NOT take an 8 day break next time, that will cause the pills to lose their effectiveness.

Don't worry about it! You will be fine and it will still be effective. You can safely run all your packs together without taking the 7 day break for your period so taking it a day early isn't a problem.

And don't take an 8 day break next time. Just carry on as normal.

Just keep taking them as normal. Don't do a 8 day break next time though!

And, I would not recommend the depo shot like someone mentioned, there are horrible side affects and class action lawsuits against the makers of the shot.

Carry on taking them, it will be fine, your next period will just be one day early. However dont take an extra day on your next break as your pill will not work properly then!!
