i always ponder wat is the best way to clean your 300 dollar pair of jeans. My first guess would be the washer but afraid it might ruin it (dunno if thats true). any other suggestions?

The best way to clean designer jeans (or any other kinds of jeans) is very easy if you know what you're doing. First, make sure that you take them off before attempting to clean them...If your designer jeans are brand new off the rack, turn them inside-out, and wash them alone in cold water with a very mild detergent on the gentle cycle of your wash machine (or if by hand). After washing,do not put your new jeans in the clothes dryer. Instead, hang your jeans up on a hanger to dry. Be sure not to use a wire hanger..."No wire hangers...EVER!" (remember "Mommie Dearest") LOL! After your designer jeans are dry, you might want to iron them lightly to get rid of any wrinkles that might occur in the process. Good luck and enjoy!

The washing machine is honestly fine for jeans. Cold water if you can't afford shrinkage, and a few capfuls of white vinegar will prevent fading/bleeding of the dyes.

Dry cleaning is actually BAD for any jeans that have decorations like crystals, it weakens the glue

If you really want to wash them in the washing machine, do it on cold, and don't put them in the dryer. Make sure you use a mild detergent. (This prevents fading.) But if you're really worried, just take them to the dry cleaner.

Jeans, made from denim material are fine to go through the washing machine with laundry detergent.
