i was surfing the internet last night when suddenly my pc restarted!!! and when it restarted i just turned it off because something bad might happen. this is the first time that such a thing happened to my pc. what do you think is the reason why this happened? is there a virus in my pc? omg i'm scared!!! i'm really taking care of my pc. i always shut it down properly so why would it restart automatically???

Ther MIGHT be a virus but you can't say for sure. The web-site you openned might have had a command that makes your computer restart. A FEW WEBSITES HAVE THEM. A few programmers try to scare people by making these things when they are sure that all viruses they create will be blocked

You could have a brown out. Too many electrical units plugging into the same outlet can cause a restart. Did you recently add some electrical components to the same outlet where your PC is plugged in?

There is also a possiblibily that your hard disk is going to die. so if you have important data please do a back up asap, otherwise you might find out later you even can't boot up the hard disk, if that is the case you may want go to this company for a data recovery http://www.cbltech.com.sg

could be windows update downloaded an update and need to reboot check your windows update setiings history see when the last update was.
