Hammerin' Hank: record breaking homer

Which of these is the biggest play in the history of baseball

PS: PARENTS IF YOU HAVE KIDS, DONT TEACH THEM TO LOVE THE CUBS. WHAT A DICK MOVE. GIVE THEM THE HAT OF A TEAM THAT ALWAYS WINS. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO NOT LIKE THE CUBS FOR YEARS, ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO UNDO AN ALLEGIANCE. DONT HURT YOUR CHILDREN!!!

Babe Ruth: calling a home run
William Sianis: cursing (forever) the Cubs and their fans
Hammerin' Hank: record breaking homer

The first two are not plays. A play in baseball involves hitting, pitching, catching, or throwing the baseball, running the bases, stealing bases etc.

Not to repeat everyone else, but I like Rick Monday, so I was drawn to this question. He definitely deserves some kind of special honor the Hall of Fame, but to induct him in a class of other baseball greats would be a stretch. He's a great guy with a tremendous sense of patriotism, but so are a lot of people and they don't get into the Hall of Fame either...

Your also forgetting about Kirk Gibsons walk off home run against the Oakland A's !! Kirk was barely able to walk when he came to the plate, he was in so much pain and then getting a home run off one of the best closing aces in baseball history. WOW !!! That took the wind out of Oakland and allowed the Dodgers to take it in 5 games against a team that was supposed to win the Dodgers in 4. Can't write a better script in baseball than that !!!

None of them how about the shot hear around the world when the Giants won the pennant. Cal Ripken Jr breaking the consecutive game streak, and Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier. All are better then what you have listed.

As a Red Sox fan I would have to go ahead and add another one, Dave Roberts stealing 2nd base in game 4 of the 2004 alcs! I have an autographed pic of him doing it!!!

You for got to mention "The Giants win the pennant." Best play that I have seen was Dan Gladden's triple in the bottom of the tenth inning in game 7 of the 91 world series.
