What is a retroverted uterus?

What is an anteverted uterus?

If I had one of these would my gynocologist inform me during a pelvic pap exam?

A retroverted uterus is when the uterus is tipped backward. An anteverted uterus (and I have this problem and felt it happen as it moved) is when the uterus is tipped forward. Depending on degree of tilt yes, the doctor might be able to feel the position of the uterus during a pelvic exam.

The other way they know when one of these positions comes in to play is thru tests like a CT Scan.
