I probably couldn't do it just for charity in general, but if it were specifically to raise money to save someones life, then yes I would.
I think if you can put a face to the cause people generally are much more open to giving of themselves and their wallets!!

Excellent question! Especially since I have very long hair down to the middle of my heiney, so it would be a real hardship to cut it since I've been growing it for so many years.

I'd have to say yes, for a worthy cause, I would cut it. As to how much money that would be, it would have to be ALOT! Something along the lines of $25,000, but for a charity, especially one of my favorites, Carousel Ranch, that helps kids that are handicapped and abused, the publicity and the hair length would get that amount from the community. People are very generous when it comes to helping out the children in need.

I'd sure miss my hair though! But it'll grow again...

It would depend on the charity..Maybe something for abused children, or Pro-Life charities but I dont see what that would have to do with me shaving my head.

No because i would find a more interesting and better way to raise cash for charity. Besides which it's taken me so long to get my hair to this state, I'm hardly likely to want to shave it off.

I thought about it, because I have extremely long hair. But then I saw that thing about Locks for Love, you know for kids with cancer and losing their hair from all the chemo treatments? And how most of it they just throw away anyway. Not a good feeling when I saw that. (In fact, one of my best friends had a daughter who wore bandanna's because she was so embarrassed to be bald, but she still went to school until she was so sick she couldn't.) Especially when so many of my friends had their heads shaved thinking they were doing something good for her. It's getting so I don't know who to trust anymore. Before you do it, check it out thoroughly!!! Don't let your precious locks go to waste. You may think you're giving it up for a good cause, but you're not.

no..I couldn't...I'm all for charity though. I give blood every chance I get. Giving blood is more helpful than shaving my head in my opinion.

NO WAY - I would rather just give the money straight to charity, especially now I've just had my hair cut and coloured which cost £70 ahhhh
it looks nice though.

I lost my hair two years ago due to chemotherapy, so it's just grown back. No, I wouldn't shave my head, but I would donate some cash to anyone local who did.We have events like that in pubs for kids with cancer etc.

I've shaved it before, but just for the hell of it. now, when it gets over 24 inches, I have it cut and give it to locks of love.
