where can i buy hamsters in sydney?

hi....i am looking for cute hamsters but cannot find them anywhere....does anyone know if there is a pet store or somewhere where they sale hamsters?

If you mean Sydney, Australia then no,
that's because hamsters are illegal in Australia.
In fact, Australia's navy searches boats for hamsters before letting them dock, if a boat is found to have illegal cargo, such as hamsters, the boat is turned away without docking and forced to go back where ever it came from.

hey. i live in australia too n i have never found anywhere that sells hamsters...nor do i know anyone here with one...they arent native to australia, and australia has very strict laws about importation of animals...they wont even let a species native to australia that has been in another country, come back to australia...i think its alittle silly...but ig uess they are just trying to stop exotic diseases from coming in...
so honestly, i dont think we can even get them here...but we can get other things like, rabbits (the dwarf kind are quite small n very cute), guineapigs (i dont think they r as cute as hamsters, but theyr not too bad). mice n ofcourse rats (rats can be trained to do many trix dogs can do and are very affectionate, many people dont like them cos of the reputation their wild cousins brought in...so consider them)

if you find out otherwise, that we can get hamsters here let me know cos i hav had no luck...

ps..zeelee? hamsters arent guinea pig variants..they are two different animals.. besides hamsters are cuter n softer than guinea pigs...n guinea pigs are a;ways squealing or squeaking about somthing, lol
