Say that you are very responsible, and will make sure to feed it, groom it, walk it, etc. Ask if there's any way to prove your responsibility, like getting straight A's or something.
Also, offer to pay for it if you have the money!
Say that you'll get any dog that they want, as long as you get one.
Basically, prove that your responsible, whatever it means. (Doing extra chores, paying for it, getting good grades, and on and on, lol)
Good luck,
Hannah

asking works better than telling.
if they normally ask you what you want for christmas/ birthday, say a puppy is all (don't add anything else to the list), no cds, no outfits, no iphones. They'll get the picture.

You should tell them you're pregnant. That would scare the **** out of them so much that it when you asked for a puppy instead, it would be a relief to get you one.
"Maybe if we get her a puppy, she won't want a baby."

If they hate puppies & dogs like I do-you may have to wait till you move out, unless they change their mind.... (puppies can be loud, hyper, messy, annoying,....I get nervous around them)

buy your puppy and ask a friend to leave it out on your front door and thell them to ring the bell. when you open the door, no one is there and there is a box with a note on it that says,
"Please, take care of my dog, i know i can trust you to do this for me."
lol well i just made that up
