We should address people how they prefer to be addressed, and when making speeches in public, we should address groups by the politically correct terms. But in general conversation I see no need for people to be politically correct when it takes more effort to use the PC term than the non-PC term. I do use some PC terms in general converation, because they aid in communication. Like when I want to know if a guy is taken or not I'll ask him if he has a partner, or a girlfriend or boyfriend. Because if I asked if he has a girlfriend and he said no and I pressed on thinking he was single when he had a boyfriend, that would be embarrassing.

You can start by not running and cowering in your home when someone wants to stomp your teeth in for not talking like you have a little bit of wit and reason.

If you watch enough Carlos Mencia, Dave Chappell, Sarah Silverman & Larry the Cable Guy you'll laugh and forget about political correctness...

Calling somone a bigot for simply noticing the obvious is not just an effective weapon in the PC fascist's arsenal, it is taken from the methods of the Soviets who would use public humiliation to punish those not communist enough. It's a lie that the politically indoctrinated will accept without question. You won't be able to convince them of anything, but don't let them intimidate you. Hopefully the more rational minded will see through it, but write off the brain-washed communist wannabes who don't.

What you people call "PC", my grandfather, a strict conservative, called manners, and would slap me out of my seat if i didn't mind them.
How can you possibly justify a higher moral stature, while objecting to manners? Has American morals declined that much, that even people who consider themselves as moral view manners as objectionable?

Yeah, I hate it when people call me a tall white guy. Clearly I am a Scottish-American who just so happens to be laterally enhanced....the nerve of some people.

It starts with each individual speaking their mind with the best words the english language offers to get the point across. The 1st Amendment applies to all.
So, if someone pisses you off, tell them to go f*ck themselves.

Dare to be Politically and Culturally Incorrect.....after all, to a liberal, a liar isnt a liar, he's just an extrovert with a lively imagination, and a sexual deviant is just an alternative lifestyle choice...

The first person to answer hit the nail on the head.
Myself I refuse to let the liberal thought police dictate what I think, say, do or believe, even though "liberal tolerance" dictates that if I (we) don't think, do, say and believe exactly as they dictate we are evil racist bigots.
