In India if a married woman have sex outside marriage she cannot be punished by sending her to jail under the provisions of the Indian Penal Code, but she can face a civil suit against her for divorce on this ground filled by her husband. Husband has full rights to stop her from indulging in such activities & he can get decree of divorce against her on this very ground only. The provision of punishable adultery by imprisonment for 5 years & fine under section 497 of the Indian Penal Code is against any man married or unmarried who indulge in sex with any married woman. Any man who entices any married woman with intent that she may have illicit intercourse with any person, or conceals or detains with that intent any such woman, then also such man can be imprisoned for two years & fine under section 498 of the Indian Penal Code. In the case of adultery the woman is not considered abettor if she indulge in sex with her free consent. This the legal position as far sex outside her marriage by any woman is concerned.

There is nothing illegal about adultery in this country, including a married woman living with someone other than her husband. Certainly if the husband assaulted her as a result, he would be charged with a crime if his wife pressed charges.
He could divorce her, but with the no-fault laws now existing, he can divorce her anyway. The social structure in this country has changed severely in this country the last 50 years or so..

It is stil adultery, but it is not a crime It is a choice and it is grounds for divorce.
Same for men actually
Tend to be countries where men and women are equal in te eye of the law and men are not considered to be the property of the man.
Punishing a woman for adultery is barbaric and will land the man in jail very quickly It is called spousal abuse and domestic violence
Again as women and men are qual by law this goes both ways

In most western countries (including America) adults can have sex with any other adult. And of course their spouse can file for divorce. Some people have said that infidelity is grounds for divorce, but this varies between countries and states. In CA the only reason you need for a divorce is "irreconcilable differences" so even if your spouse doesn't cheat you can get a divorce.

Art, I think that you are stretching thins here. This is clearly (to me) Paul's opinion of women. He says that he does not.... You take this to a general statement that women should not hold ..... Paul's opinion, to me, is not a law or God's view of women's roles. Sorry. I too am a servant of God and Christ, and I feel that if this (women's roles position had come from God, it would have been one of the Ten Commandments. After all, God gave us some simple rules about how to live, and how to treat our fellow humans. I feel that making stretches such as you have made here are actually counterproductive in converting others to Christianity, and do actual harm as well. I love you, Captain, but please don't stretch the rules. Regards, Dan

Well, in US it is called, "Divorce".
No woman has to suffer like in India, in China, or in Middle East. Here husbands and wives get 50/50. If she is unfaithful, and he is not. The husbands can obtain more assets, such as the house, the cars, money and so on. When that stage happens, it means they went through a divorce.

Welcome to the twenty-first century. It is the lack of laws that allow infidelity. It is difficult for man to in act laws of morality because man is immoral by nature. It comes down to, "Let the first person without sin cast the first stone." We all sin in one form or another. We didn't tell the whole truth, or we have impure thoughts or something, so it is left to God to demand answers of ones actions. Also, most developed countries outlaw beating women and children regardless of the reason. God bless.

In most western countries adultery is more of a moral/social issue than a legal one. If a man or a woman wants to step out of their marriage there is nothing that their partner can do to stop them. It does of course, give them grounds for divorce.

In German. I think its the 1st day of september or perhaps october whichever the month is. Actually during this day any wrong doing that happens agaist you, you cannot sue anyone. Even if you came home and found your wife red handed with another man on top of her, you can't use that day to justify divorce, beat her or basically do anything bad to her rather you have to digest the pains and deal with it.
