Wow, that is something I never really thought about but it is so true. I think it is because we are more gripped by fear, it is not as easy to wake up even if we want to. I also think when we have a dream where everything is looking like it will conclude good we wake ourselves up because we don;t want to know for dure how it turns out. Boy that sucks though, I have woken up and thought, I wanna know how that dream ends, oh well.

Very good question, I've never thought of it that way!! Now you made me think!! You're right if you are having a good dream and it gets interupted you can't go back to sleep and go back to it but with a nightmare, even if you wake up and then go back to sleep you fall right back into it!! I hate that!!
