My youngest daughter is getting them and she is a little nerves about it.

Yeah, I have braces right now. I got them on about two months ago and let me assure you and your daughter, it doesn't hurt at all when you get them on. A few hours later however, they get really sore and stay that way for several days until your teeth get use to them. As a suggestion, give your daughter a few aspirin two hours before you go to get them on and then have her keep taking them as the direction says for two or three days. Tell her good luck from me!!!

I have had them twice... And now one of my baby girls has them... Sore is an understatement for the first four months or so... After that you just learn to deal with the pain and can chew almost through anything! LOL, I was determined to have tacos and pizza... Not your typical braces food .... She will be OK, buy lots of soup and ice cream.. Jellos and puddings... And don't forget the children's Motrin or Tylenol...

I do and I am 24. They are the clear ones though, and yeah, I was very nervous. The first three months are the worse. But it's all worth it. All the pain, 'cause in the end ima end up with a beautiful smile.

It really isn't that bad. I had to have the herbs apliance thing as well, now that wasn't fun. It will take a month to get used to, then you can't even tell they are in!

um, no, i dont have braces, but my sis has braces, and she says nothing really hurts except after they pull 4 teeth out. sorry to tell u that.
