yes. we've had tornado warnings at night in our area before. tornadoes usually happen in the daytime, generally in the late afternoon during the high heating of the day, but tornadoes can happen at anytime of the day or night.

The way that Mother Nature is, I would think that a tornado can happen, under the right weather conditions, whether at night or during the day.

It absoultely can. If the ground temperture has warmed up enough on a warm and humid spring or summer day or even winter and it is night time and the ground is still saturated and the air is still very humid and the dew point is high enough then this causes uncontrollable condensation which leads to the development of huge thunderstorm clouds which are capable of producing not only tornadoes but also destructive wind, deafing thunder, constant cloud-to-ground lightning, and large hail sometimes up to volleyball sized.

Honey, tornadoes don't depend on clocks! I've been in tornadoes in the afternoon and late at night. I've even been in a tornado in January.

Yes, and those are very dangerous because they are hard to see. During Hurricane Hugo, three tornadoes went by my mother's house while it was dark. They sounded like someone in a huge truck sitting outside the house then we heard cracking sounds. We thought it was limbs braking off trees, but in the morning we saw it was trees too large to reach around that had broken off about 4 feet off the ground.

Tornadoes ensue whilst chilly and heat air combine and create undesirable climate via fact that neither area likes one yet another....they in many cases ensue throughout spring (maximum basic) and fall .......and around sundown and dawn ......even with the undeniable fact that it may ensue each time and everywhere .....a peculiar and wonderful warm day in iciness can triggle a twister
